The TiEcon @ 25 reception honors a quarter-century of impact — culminating in a screening of "Breaking the Code," the documentary on TiE co-founder Kanwal Rekhi.

An exclusive, limited-seat screening of Breaking the Code — filmmaker Ben Rekhi’s deeply personal documentary about his father, Kanwal Rekhi.
From Partition refugee to Silicon Valley pioneer, Kanwal Rekhi became the first Indian American to take a venture-backed company public on the Nasdaq. That company, Excelan, commercialized the networking technology the modern internet was built on. He went on to co-found TiE.
The film opened the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles, where it won the Audience Award, and has since screened at CAAMFest and the New York Indian Film Festival.
Seating is strictly limited. Ticket includes the screening and the TiEcon Gala.
